San Antonio is nice. There's a lot to do there with or without family. I love the Austin area too and there's a ton of fun nightlife there as well. Great music scene.

Ditto. Those are some long rattlers and their color is just amazing. If they weren't up like that, it would have been hard to see them.

I've always thought reptiles in general have a bad rep. and are sorely misunderstood. However spiders are a different issue. I'll run like a bat of hell if someone places a spider on me.

Ahh! KILL DEVIL HILLS!!!!!

That is a beach place about 2 hours from my old stomping grounds, and you'll love it! It's a bit of a drive from Raleigh tho.....

And Rockdawg, you pictures are awesome. I never realized snakes had such a ritualistic mating dance, or 'slither'....
