Jimmy, maybe you could post some positive articles in between (because this many in a row is a little depressing).

It's always a real loss when a artist dies; it seems like a tragedy but these fine people are in their 60's and 70's so not really unexpected.

I'm not being critical of you, these are some of my idols as well and I want to know what's happening in the music world. Just tell me to buzz off if I'm out of line!

Anyway, I didn't even recognize Levon in the linked article. I loved the Band's music and was always impressed with him - being a drummer and singer. Not to mention he was a very good actor and had several movie credits - "Coal Miner's Daughter" for one.

When I think of Levon, I picture Scorsese's "The Last Waltz" and Up on Cripple Creek.

I didn't know he had been suffering with cancer for the last 14 years. I'll say some prayers for his ease and comfort.

He just played in NJ with his new band on my B-Day. I'm really regretting not going to see him play. One of my favorites.

I knew I recognized that face and voice...from Coal Miner's Daughter and Shooter, as well as other movies.

I'm saddened to hear about his struggle with this cancer. Soon he'll be out of the clutches this dreaded disease and in a much better place.

Wow, that was just a couple of weeks ago, right? Talk about living your life to the end. Good for him!
