Yeah thats true
Chael would have defended his belt like 3 or 4 times by now.

I have a question....what was the state of the LW and MW divisions when BJ and Chael would have gotten an immediate rematch? Were there any other true contenders at that time?
I am asking because I don't remember....I think Vitor was the only one at MW at that time. Where I am going with this is if there were no true contenders deserving of a shot at the title then a rematch was the right thing to do.

I thought it was pretty obvious that Henderson won, but the fight was exciting so I'm not complaining about watching it again!

I thought it was pretty obvious that Henderson was going to win, but I guess people seem to like Edgar.(too bad they don't actually buy PPV's)...
I also thought the rematches that Edgar had to endure were obvious. Call me crazy, but I remember that he barely beat BJ the first time and he fought to a draw in the 2nd fight with Gray. As if those are the worst rematches we have seen in UFC history. |

I think that if there is a clear cut #1 contender then you dont do the rematch, but in this case no one really stands out in the LW division so I'm fine with it.
