Oh, come on now! The NBA is a pretty serious athletic organization, not a comedy. He's going to be doing introductions not commentary and it's not a permanent gig, just a one off sort of thing. I'm betting (most of) the fighters love it as well. It seems like this fight in Japan has a real Mardi Gras feel to it.

OK, Ferrell isn't actually introducing the fighters. A week or so ago, he was surpirse the Charlotte Bobcats (NBA team) by doing the player intros for the game on "80s Night". Someone then cut together this video by playing his player intros over top of when fighters were introduced & overlaying clips from his movies onto UFC clips. Will Ferrell is not actually going to be doing the fighter intros.

I would have loved to see him introduce the fighters as Robert Goulet. Oh well, loved the video anyway ;-)
