I have some brilliant Hymns that I like...here is the first one...and I love the arrangement in the video, where the third and fourth verses are sung next to unaccompanied and almost entirely harmony rather then the melody

I love the hymns I grew up hearing. We have a contemporary worship service now and don't get to sing them much.

Rock of Ages has always floored me.

My all-time favorite is Because He Lives. I have left instructions with my family to have it played at my funeral. They thought it was an odd choice, but it's because of the 3rd verse:

And then one day
I'll cross that river
I'll fight life's final war with pain
And then as death
Gives way to victory
I'll see the lights of Glory and I'll know He Lives!

and the chorus gives hope to mourners:

Because He Lives...I can face tomorrow
Because He Lives...all fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He Lives!

I like "Be Still my soul" for the same sort of reasons
