OK, just for the record...

Sam Stout vs. Thiago Tavares

Mario Yamasaki is the referee.

Round 1:
Tavares punches into clinch and scores the early takedown. Stout tries to use the cage to stand up and Tavares almost climbs his back. Stout escapes and Tavares immediately shoots, but this time Stout defends. Tavares scores his second takedown with 3:09 remaining in the round. Stout gets back to his feet, but Tavares keeps the body lock and uses it to slam him back down. Stout stands up and Tavares tries for a guillotine right away and drops down for it. Stout quickly escapes and ends up taking top position. Tavares looks for a leglock and Stout steps away. Stout lands a nice right punch. Stout connects to the body and Tavares clinches. Stout shrugs him off and they're back into what has mostly been a kickboxing fight. Tavares glances a straight right of his own.

Round 2:
Stout sneaks a right hand through and hits his target. Tavares connects on a right hand ... Tavares lands another big right. Tavares grabs a single-leg and Stout escapes. Stout is bleeding from around his left ear, most likely from a kick. Stout lands a body kick. Stout lands to the body. Round could have gone either way.

Round 3:
Early on, Tavares is caught with a low blow and takes his time to recover. With the fight restarted, Tavares fires off kicks while Stout looks to open up his hands. Tavares tries to a takedown, but Stout shrugs him off. Stout stalks Tavares. Tavares shoots and Stout again successfully defends. Tavares connects on another leg kick. Tavares lands a kick to the body and Stout returns fire with a right hand. Stout lands two consecutive jabs. Tavares bleeds from his nose. With the fight coming to an end, Stout lands the biggest shot of the night to stun Tavares and put him on one knee. Close round until then and Stout might have just stolen the round.

All judges see it differently ... Not a robbery by any means. Close fight.

Official Result: Tavares wins via unanimous decision (no scores announced)

Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Ednaldo Oliveira

As Junior dos Santos' sparring partner, there's a bit of buzz surrounding Oliveira as he heads into his UFC debut here. Let's see if he's worthy of the hype. Dan Miragliotta is the referee.

Round 1:
There's a long feeling out process. Just under two minutes into the fight, Gonzaga shoots and scores the big takedown. Oliveira recovers to his feet only to get tripped back down and into his halfguard. Oliveira again tries to stand, but Gonzaga wraps a choke around his neck. Gonzaga flattens Oliveira and Oliveira taps.

Gonzaga wins via submission (rear-naked choke) - Round 1, 3:22

Edson Barboza vs. Terry Etim

Round 1:
Etim is aggressive to start. The Brit shoots for the takedown but Barboza defends. Etim stalks with jabs. Etim fakes a punch and shoots. Etim gets close to finishing the takedown but Barboza reverses and they are back to their feet. Barboza lands a big leg kick. Barboza connects on two more leg kicks. Barboza lands with a punch to the body. Etim lands a jab but Barboza responds with a left hook. Etim tries another takedown attempt and Barboz again successfully defends. Etim's jabs are working for him. Barboza connects on more leg kicks. Etim fires back with a leg kick of his own. Nice spinning back kick to the body ends the round.

Round 2:
Etim is comfortable throwing roundhouse kicks but Barboza has the head kick well scouted. Barboza is landing a number of leg kicks and we'll have to see if the damage will take a toll on Etim as the fight progresses. Etim keeps an eye out to check the kicks but he's not blocking half of them. Etim misses on a spinning back kick. Nice right hand by Etim. Etim shoots with 1:38 remaining and he puts Barboza on his back. However, Barboza explodes back up.

Round 3:
Barboza's crisp kickboxing is fun to watch. Out of nowhere Barboza lands a spinning wheel kick to the face that sends Etim crashing to the floor stiff like a tree. What a spectacular knockout.

That's your KO of the night right there and an early candidate for knockout of the year.

Barboza wins via knockout - Round 3, 2:02

Erick Silva vs. Carlo Prater

Mario Yamasaki is the referee of this contest between two Brazilians.

Round 1:
The two trade feints and it's Silva who steps through with a right hand that misses and a knee to the body that drops Prater. Silva finishes with hammerfists and the fight is stopped.

Official Result: Prater wins via DQ - Round 1

The replay shows most of the punches connected on the side of the head. mmafighting predicts this result will be overturned to either back to a Silva win or a no contest.

Wow. That's got to rival Gonzaga's KO of Mirko.

Thanks for giving some live play-by-play. We should have bought this card.
