Okay, the Rangers just evened things up 2-2!
After that bad call from the ump last night that turned out to be the beginning of the end of that game for Texas, tonight's win was a relief! Holland did a great job pitching 8+ innings...wish he could have finished it. As each inning came and went, my stomach knotted up a little more especially when they changed pitchers right at the end. Baseball is nerve wracking! After the Texans and Cowboys won today, I was hoping the Rangers would make it #3 for the day!

I am not a fan of either team really, but everybody's gotta love what Pujols did in game 3. That guy basically guaranteed that his new contract is gonna make him a LOT of money, be it in St. Louis, or wherever he goes (Cubs?).

Bonnie.
Holland did NOT pitch a "great" game!! The ump at the plate was calling those crap inside pitches strikes!!! Not saying it would have changed the game, but man there were some bad strike calls last night! Now, I will concede, that was a bad call at first in game 3 when Holliday was clearly out, but take away his run and we still KILLED! Really happy to see Pujols perform like that in what may be his last season with us. Really, we had to give you guys, ONE game at home, so we could come back and win it in St. Louis. And it couldn't be tonight, because we need to have a "HAPPY FLIGHT!!" |

Last night, game 5, was Napoli's night! He didn't do too shabby the night before either.
How 'bout the Cardinal's Craig trying to steal 2nd when he did in the 7th...saw him "explaining" it to La Russa after he got out. Poor guy, he looked like a kid who knows he messed up and now has to face his parent. The commentators were saying he got the nod to go from Pujols who was batting, a "hit and run", I believe they called it...can someone explain to me why they would take that chance at that particular moment with, I believe, one out and the game tied at that point?

Here's an article talking about what happened in the game last night including some of the mix-ups that apparently occurred when La Russa called the bullpen. Talk about a comedy of errors!

Rub it in Bonnie!
Yep, that was some crap management, but you don't wanna get me started on LaRussa anyway! I hate this situation for the Cardinals--HAVE to win 2 in a row, but I have faith that they can do it!
