Diego Sanchez (23-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC) has been forced to withdraw from a planned UFC 135 co-headlining matchup with Matt Hughes (45-8 MMA, 18-6 UFC).

UFC president Dana White today announced the move via Twitter.

"Diego Sanchez broke his hand," White wrote. "Looking for a replacement for Hughes."

UFC 135 takes place Sept. 24 at Denver's Pepsi Center. A title fight between light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson headlines the pay-per-view main card.

Who could step in? Ebersole? Rory Macdonald?

Fitch came to mind since his injury is healed, but I highly doubt he'd take this fight on short notice

OT but still about UFC 135 - do any of you think Rampage stands even one iota of a chance against JBJ?

I'd love to see Matt fight Thiago Alves.

I think it will be Koscheck. He is posting on twitter that he wants it and is waiting for Matt to accept.
