Default UFC 135: Josh Koscheck accepts fight with Matt Hughes after injury to Diego Sanchez

Guess who's (potentially) back?

After Diego Sanchez went down with a broken hand, it appears former welterweight title challenger and fellow veteran of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season one, Josh Koscheck, has tentatively accepted a fight against Matt Hughes at UFC 135.

Everyone's favorite blonde-topped wrestler said as much on Twitter moments ago:

" Got a fight in 21 days b*tches. ... Oh ya 19 days then or something like that!!!! Either way it looks like I am in to fight matt Hugh if he takes it????"

More updates as they come, but it appears that the ball is now firmly in Matt Hughes' court.

Buckle up your chin straps...here we go!!

That sucks that Diego broke his hand. It also sucks that Mat has to change his game plan so late into the game. Any word on if Mat accepted or not?

I just hope Matt does what's best for him and not the UFC. I don't know how much he would have to change his game plan going in to fight Koscheck.

I wouldn't believe a word that comes out of Koscheck's mouth until we get some confirmation. For all we know, this is just more of that same lie that Matt has been "ducking" Koscheck, Fitch and Swick for years now.

For those who don't know, Koscheck, Fitch and Swick have all participated in the story that Matt was offered a fight with each of them, but turned it down. That's a complete fabrication, it never happened.

So, Koscheck is not exactly a reliable source of information, IMO.

Good point. Dana has even stated that Matt never turned down a fight.
Personally I'd love to see Matt put a beating on him.

Koscheck doesn't deserve a fight with Hughes

I'm not interested in seeing Matt fight Kos, if he has to fight on short notice then I would much rather see him fight Fitch.

Do we even know how long Diego will be out? Maybe Matt should wait for him? There's really nothing for him to gain by fighting Kos on such short notice.

DITO!! Never thought Kos deserved a fight with Matt. But it would thrill me to see Matt tap Kos out.
