Default Whos your favorite midcard fighter?

Name some of your favorite "midcarders". To qualify as a midcard fighter for this thread, kindly follow the proceding criteria;

Has never held a belt in a major promiton (i.e. UFC, Strikeforce, EliteXC, Pride, Dream)

Does not appear to be on track to be a UFC Hall of Fame Inductee any time soon.

Will not (in YOUR opinion) likely be getting a title shot in the next 12 months.

Fight regularly on the Payperview portion of the card (not always on FB or Prelims)

Not currently undefeated

Doesnt regularly and is not currently scheduled to main event a card.

Sorry for the lengthy criteria, I just don't want arguments whether or not someone is a midcarder lol.

My favorite midcarder is Ed "Short Fuse" Herman. I think he puts on a tough fight for anyone that is a midcard level guy. He's kind of an entry level gate keeper, but a real hard one to get by. Ed has struggled some with guys that have extremely good jitz. Demian Maia wrecked him pretty hard in a good fight. I think that the Belcher fight could've went either way and that he had a chance against Aaron Simpson had it not been for the knee injury. He's got some good wins as of late that really showed my favorite trait of his. His willingness to win. In his match with Tim Credeur, Tim was beating him to the punch in every exchange. Ed got frustrated and just went after him, grabbed him by the back of the head and threw up some uppercuts to drop and finish him. I loved that. Then in his last match agaisnt Noke, Ed just went for sub after sub after sub until he finally landed one with the heel hook. I think that hes decently young, has a ton of potential and will one day make a move up in competition and be successful. Until then, Ed "Short Fuse" Herman will stay my favorite midcareder.

Was Chris Lytle but he's retired

Clay Guida. I also like Spencer Fisher when he still had it.

Oleg Taktarov "The Russian Bear" back in the day. When most don't know who the hell he is .

I have to go with Clay Guida as my #1 mid card guy. He never shows up out of shape and ALWAYS puts on a great fight. Also a fan of watching Stephan Bonner, another guy that shows up to fight.

Dang, I'm only up to UFC 4 on the new set I just got (1 through 10).

(heh, that's ok, Dethbob, I think I've seen that fight several times before...

The first fighter that came to mind for me is Clay Guida. I'm a fan of the Kingfisher too.
