You think they cherry-picked this Wade fella (who is now 0-2 by KOs) for him?

Wait, who did Kimbo fight? A 39 year old who's only other fight is KO loss to a 25 year old that won by TKO on the under-card of the same event? |

"Polite" would be if justice were served and these kind of spectacles don't take place. This got ESPN coverage, and while that is great for the other up and coming guys on the bill, it just reeks of garbage. I'm sorry, guess I'm not being so polite. I hate to say it, but Roy Jones Jr. actually said that he thought Kimbo could come into the heavyweight division and be like Mike Tyson... However, Roy then also offered to fight Kimbo...which is a dead giveaway that Roy was fishing for a payday... In all seriousness though, I wish Kimbo the best of luck. He's living a dream a lot of people never get to live, and it would have been easy for him to quit a long time ago. He got streamlined into the upper echelon of MMA due to some backyard fights on YouTube, but it's not like anybody else in that situation would turn down the opportunity. After losing to Petruzelli on CBS, he could have just faded away, but he took the challenge and went on TUF. After being cut from the UFC, he could have quit but he took up boxing, and honestly that's probably more suited for Kimbo anyway. I'm not gonna go so far as Roy Jones did and call him another Mike Tyson, but I will say that I think Kimbo is a fierce brawler with power in both hands, and he loves to stand and bang. I'm just not sure Kimbo's chin is as thick as his beard. Only time will tell |

Don't care for Kimbo much. But that was a nice KO. That guy might of been 0-2. But that punch would of put alot of people away no matter there record. Glad he is in a sport that he could be more effective.

As long as people will pay to watch, he'll be getting fights.
I've heard from fighters who've met him, that Kimbo's a pretty cool guy. Good for him that he's making money. I hope he spends it wisely. |

fighting in small Indian casinos are not exactly big time. I would be surprised if he get a fight wiht any serious contender. I would not mind seeing Kimbo vs Tommy Morrison. He can fight in some states and in those little casinos. That would be a better test then tin cans

Honestly, I don't think he's good enough to go very far in boxing or MMA. I also think he's too old and uncoachable to ever get to that point. He needs to make whatever money he can ASAP. From what I understand, he's made quite a bit so far. No idea if he saved it, blew it, paid off old debts or whatever. His marquee value is definitely running out. For his sake, I hope he at least gets a couple more good paydays.
