Default Warrior - MMA Movie

Saw this trailer last night. It is by the same guy who did "Miracle".

What do you think? To me, it seems interesting, but I'll wait until it comes available to rent rather than paying $10 to see it in the theater.

eh...meh....eh...looks like a Rocky rip-off.

Typical fighter down on his luck story, family problems, opportunity, fighter turns it around, family problems go away, father problems, brother problems, has big fight, loses, has big fight again, wins the show, girl and him and family happily together after, big fight career ahead, the end.

Am encouraged to see Nick Nolte is still living.

I went to see it with my little brother lat night (after Fight Night Louisa) and was really impressed. I was expecting a little more adult version of Never Back Down (what a terrible movie), but this certainly wasn't. In my opinion, it wasn't a story about either of the sons, though the focus is certainly on them, but rather it's a father's quest to reunite a family torn apart by his alcoholism. I am telling everyone I talk to that they should go see it. It ran the emotional gambit, making me laugh, getting me fired up & pissed off, giving me chills & finally making me tear up (not gonna lie).

Here's the strongest endorsement I can give it, & those of you who know me will realize what a testament it is: after this movie, my brother & I only said 3 sentences to each other all the way out of the theater, through the parking lot & on the drive home. It completely & totally silenced me.
