Default UFC 132 ***SPOILERS***

OK, let's see if I can manage to actually do it this time or if I just get lazy again!

Hougland/Walker first. Some early kicks from Hougland, but a Superman punch from Donnny gives Jeff a chance to land a takedown underneath. Walker has a very active guard, lands a few punches from bottom & eventually kicks Hougland away. Jeff rushes back in & grabs a guillotine as Donny tries to get up, but Walker defends it well & ends up on top. Hougland's a BJJ brown belt & starts submission hunting quick. Towards the end of the round, he's able to reverse Walker, but Donny quickly starts looking for a leg as time expires. I'd give it to Hougland 10-9

Rnd 2 & Jason Dent (in Donny's corner) encourages his fighter by reminding him that Jeff had never yet been out of the first round while Donny gets stronger as the fight goes on. As the round starts, Hougland is throwing a lot of kicks while Walker is hunting for power shots. Hougland shoots for a takedown, but Walker is able to defend it. Jeff is doing a great job of frustrating Walker's strikes by circling off well after each strike & opens a cut under Donny's eye. An inadvertent low blow causes a quick pause, but they restart quickly. Hougland lands a big left hand that rocks Walker. He drops in for another guillotine & locks it in real tight, torquing on it HARD, but the bell saves Donny. 10-9 to Jeff again.

Rnd 3. In the corner, Jason Dent tells him he's done down 2 rounds & at the least he needs an exciting fight or else finish him. Hougland presses him against the fence, but Donny turns him & lands a nice knee to the body & Hougland shoots a weak shot. Walker sprawls out & Hougland ends up sitting through to his guard, immediately looking for an armbar, but Walker slams his way out. Mario stands them up. After a good right hand hits him, Hougland shoots in again, Walker sprawls, but Hougland works to half-guard, then deep half-guard, reversing to the top & finishing on top.

I give it to Jeff Hougland, 29-28. Judges agree.

Your play-by-play is great. I will really enjoy it tonight as we are not buying the PPV.

Yeah, Hougland wins, home town boy.

Andre Winner vs. Anthony Engine-Cool-Honey (aka "N")

Rnd 1 - An early combo from N lands. Andre is the aggressor early, but Anthony is countering him well. Winner is mainly just throwing punches while N is using more Muay Thai. By halfway through the first, Andre is beginning to hang back, unsure of how to get in. At about the 1 minute mark, Winner gets caught by a big counter right uppercut and backs up against the fence & Anthony spends the next 60 seconds demolishing him with textbook striking. How Andre survives, I haven idea. 10-9, N

Winner's face is a mess as Rnd 2 starts. Anthony was very discerning with his flurries at the end of Rnd 1, so he's not burned out. He lands a big left about 60sec in & again follows Winner to the fence. They break fora it, but N again presses forward, get a takedown & Andre pops right back up. Yves breaks them off the fence & then restart. The action slows down for the last 90sec. Andre seems frustrated & N looks to be conserving energy for the 3rd. 10-9 Anthony.

Both ofAndre's eyes are busted up right now. Anthony's corner is telling him to "just play now" & not do anything stupid. N is throwing a few nice combos & Winner's backing straight up. Andre still can't find anything that works & he's starting to throw hail Mary head kicks. 10-9 Engine-Cool-Honey

He should get the 30-27 UD.

Ok, Tavares vs. Simpson. This was supposed to beMayhem's UFC re-debut, but then he got the nod for TUF 14, so Brad stepped up.

Here's a shocker, after a short exchange, Aaron quickly shoots for a takedown. He's got Brad trapped up against the fence & is working on a single. Josh Rosenthal breaks 'em off the fence at about the 2 minute mark. After some more exchanges, Simpson again locks up & drives Brad against the fence. He briefly spins Tavares to the ground, but Brad's right back up. Finally, just before the bell sounds, he gets Tavares to the ground. 10-9 Aaron

Brad lands a hard counter right off a leg kick by Simpson. The same thing happens again & Aaron falls to the canvas. Brad rushes in, but Sinpson pops up, grabs double undercooks, drags him to the ground & briefly gets the back before they end up, once again, clinched against the cage. After a bit, Ravares is able to turn Aaron against thecae & begins hunting for a takedown of his own. He elevates Aaron & slams him down, but Aaron scrambles the instant he hits the ground & comes up on top, grabbing for a guillotine & throws a few knees. Much closer 2nd round, but I still think Aaron takes it. Judges may disagree because of the slam.
