Meh 1st round from Mitrione & Morecraft. Matt won, IMO, because of the 2 knock downs. Only time Christian looked to be offensive was when he baited Matt to coming to the ground & reversed his with about 50sec left, but Mitrione immediately got back up to his feet.

Yeah, unfortunately I have to agree with you. Really bummed to see him decline so far, but hopefully a break of the UFC with fire him up...

I'm really unimpressed with Morecraft & a little disappointed in Mitrione. Christian's gasping for air half-way through the 2nd & for the most part just seems to be the worst example of a wrestler looking to LnP. On Matt's part, I feel like he's got the power to put this away, but he's just being a little lackadaisical about it.

WOW! Just as I say that, Matt drills in a beautiful 2-1-2 & then turns & walks away as Christian crashes to the mat. That was a nasty KO!!!

Hahahahaha

Joe - Tell us something about the power in your hands, Matt!
Matt - Well, Joe, about my hands, all I can say is that I piss excellence.

Good first round. I give it to Howard, but I think the momentum was beginning to switch towards Brown at the end. After that last takedown attempt, when Brown got back up & they split, John looked to be tired. I think if Brown pressures him & can avoid an early takedown, he could break Howard.

John looks really slow here. Matt's looking good, but I think he needs to really impose himself on Howard. He definitely controlled the round & won it (IMO), but he seemed a little tentative. If he turns it on in the 3rd, I think he can lock this up.

Go Matt! I think I'm the only one who picked him...

Well, I think that John was able to rally & win that last round. He was able to control & make Matt fight his game. Not a thriller, but a win for him, nonetheless.

Woohoo!

He lives to fight another day (in the UFC, anyway).

Man, Brenneman isn't backing down from Story 1 bit & I'm loving it! He's got absolutely nothing to lose in this fight & he's attacking that way. This could be an awesome Cinderella tale for the hometown kid!!
