Interesting topic Dave. I guess that means you have recurring dreams and you're seeking HELP, lol. Yes, I have some.

1. Tornadoes (I still have these on occasion, guess it's a history of seeing so many, lol)
2. Snakes (I'm talking the BIG snakes)
3. Giants (when I was a child, like Jack & the Beanstalk size giants).
4. When I was a child I had one that was so weird it's hard to describe, but it was this evil robot that kinda looked like No. 5 from the movie Short Circuit. It carried a mallet, would smack people in the head to KO them, then suck them inside of a vacuum that was part of its' bottom (as the people were getting sucked into it, it looked like the ghosts getting sucked in from a Ghost Busters trap). It kept chasing me everywhere saying (not sure how to spell it so I'll spell it as it sounds, lol) "Ah me mommy, Matthew will kill you." It was weird.

What does it mean? My guess is some sort of irrational fear or even something that's exciting. I'm not scared of tornadoes or snakes, I find them interesting and exciting. I was afraid of giants as a child and I guess I just had a vivid imagination as a child to come up with #4.

when i was a kid i used to dream i could fly.

for the last few years if i have an argument with my husband or he says something that hurts my feelings i dream about other men. in all the dreams the men are treating me so good i'd say sometimes i want that. however i would never be attracted to a man that always likes pleasing me or making me happy. i'm attracted to men that having mudding, fishing, hunting and working on things in his top priorities. if i had nothing to compete with i think i'd get bored. yes that is weird i know.

This will recquire a little bit of back story: my first senior year of college (I took 4.5yrs to get my degree), I thought I was all set to graduate in the Spring with all my buddies. The day after add/drop closed, but advisor called me up to inform me that I was 1 upper-level credit short of being eligible. There was a 1-credit, 300-lvl band class I could have easily signed up for (the director e-mailed me every semester begging me to join up again) & I would have been golden, but I was 24hrs late. Obviously, that really frustrated me & made me less than enthusiastic. On top of that, my grandmother died about a month later & rather than facing the various emotional issues I had going on, I just retreated from life & hung out in my apartment, skipping class after class, until it got to the point that I was 75% into the semester & had turned in practically 0 assignments & had no shot of passing.

Fast forward to today - I have a recurring dream where I wake up & am ready to graduate, but then realize that I've got 1 class I had completely spaced on all semester. There's a huge paper/test/project due that afternoon & I have no clue what's being covered. I'm rushing around trying to find out what the requirements are & just feeling more & more helpless. Recently, the dream's added a new twist: I dream that I'm ready to graduate from college, but then realize that, somehow, there's a high school class that I never took & I have to pass that class & officially graduate from high school before they'll let me graduate from college.

I've come to realize that this dream is my subconcious's way of telling me that I'm trying to avoid a problem & that I need to face it and deal with it now before it gets worse.

I have only two reoccuring dreams...one is about being chased through tubes by a green skinned man....the other involves flying.

It always starts with me in the back garden of an old house we lived in, and I dont have wings or anything, I just start to levitate I suppose...and as I go up, im quite excited...and I can move left and right, and fly over the house...but then it strikes me that the one thing I cant seem to do is go downwards...and then it gets frightening coz I begin to continue to go upwards, and its just once through the clouds i cant see the ground, and when I look up its just a black sky...no stars...and I just keep rising, up and up and up and up ad infinitum

Several times I dreamed, as a child, that my family was on a piece of plywood suspended from a firetruck in our back yard. If any of us tried to move towards the edges the weight shifts would make us all start sliding off so we were stuck. And we were small, like Honey I Shrunk the Kids style.

But every since I can remember in my dreams where I get so mad I try to hit someone I have never been able to hit them. My hand always freezes inches from people's faces. Now that I'm older I think it is a warning for me to control my temper (which I'm not so great at).

Well the flying one was one that started in my teenage years, and is the only one im likely to have now.

The green skinned man, was a childhood knightmare, that ive not had since being a teenager.

The tubes where like ventilation shafts I suppose, or some kind of sewerage system. The green skinned man was like a normal man...except his skin colour was green...not bright green but a sort of dull metalic green...He used to squat down, and sort of bounce forward, coz the tubes were too small to stand up in, it was like he was using his hands, like a dog uses its front legs, they were stronger then they should have been and allowed him to bound around rather then scrable...like me...He never used to actually catch me...coz he'd get so close, then he'd stop and wait for me to move abit further and when I looked back, thats when he'd set off after me again...It was VERY scary, WAY before the time I watched frightening films though...so I dont know where the inspiration of a Green skinned guy came from
