I am also pretty sure he did say that IF Tanner beat Franklin and was
to coach against him on TUF he would move up and fight him at MW.

Correct, Linland was running his mouth and Matt said there are plenty of people in their camp that would be willing to fight Linland including himself. He also offered to move up in weight to do so.

Exactly.

IMO a true champion wants to test himself.

Look at Randy, that guy takes TOUGH fights.
Look at Anderson? Went up to LHW twice
Look at BJ, went up to WW on multiple occasions.
Look at Fedor, could EASILY make 205, never wanted to.

I just think legends become that way by taking the hard route.
and not doing things the easy way.
How many times did Hughes go to dec as champion? My point exactly.

Exactly. Also, before the 2nd GSP fight, there was talk of Matt moving up to avenge Rich's loss to Anderson.

I personally don't think GSP wants to anything to do with Silva. I think IF he beats Diaz we will likely just see rematches of people deserving of a title shot.

I do hate GSP, for very fair reasons as a fan IMO

1. He fights to not lose
2. He doesn't want to challenge himself.

I love Sonnen because he has a fat mouth an he entertains me.

BJ is a natural 145 who once held the WW title.
