UFC 130 ***SPOILERS***

Awesome, time for Stann/Santiago! The All-American fighting on Memorial Day!

Starts out with aggressive striking by Stann & he catches with Jorge, putting him down momentarily. Brian lands a big punch & jumps on top of Santiago, pounding away on Jorge for a dominant finish to round 1.

USA USA USA USA USA!!!!

Jorge starts rnd 2 with a takedown attempt, but Stann defends it well. Brian is landing great leg kicks & drops Santiago with one. Brian is clearly winning the stand up, so Jorge shoots in again, but Stann stuffs it. Jorge throws a spinning backfist & Brian follows with a combo. Jorge tries a kick which Brian catches easily. Jorge goes for a flying knee, but he falls to the ground. Stann shows no interest in following him to the ground. Urge throws a sloppy kick, which Brian counters with a powerful straight right, dropping Santiago to his back. Brian stands over him to blast 3 or 4 more shots bore the ref waves him off.

Brian collapses to his knees in tears as chants of USA echo through the building.

Marcus Lutrell is in the audience & cheering hard for Brian.

Now it's time for Rick Story vs. Fatty McGee

Those are two big WWs. After a few exchanges, Story gets a takedown on McGee, but Fatty quickly climbs back to his feet. Story stays glued to his back, firing knee after knee into McGee's thighs & calves. Fatty finally manages to get to his feet & momentarily takes Rick down before they both scramble to their feet. Story quickly presses Fatty against the cage & begins hunting for another TD. Referee separates them & Rick throws a couple combos before again shoving McGee against the fence. He's doing a great job of minimizing Fatty's ability to strike effectively while landing his own strikes in the clinch. Story separates for a big combo, then re-clinches but gets turned by Fatty. Rick turns him back, but Fatty breaks away. Then begin swinging on each other, both sitting right in the pocket. Round ends with Rick looking for another takedown.

The lady ref reminds me of a German dominatrix. I'm betting she has an extensive whip collection at home.

Rick's corner tells him Fatty's looking for a way out, but not to give it to him until the 3rd & to start looking for calf stomps.

Rnd 2 starts with q few exchanges before Rick again pushes Fatty into the cage & takes him down. McGee is able to stand up, but Rick is again glued to his back & throwing knees to the thighs. The separate & when Fatty tries to kick, Rick using the opportunity to get the takedown. Fatty's right back up & manages a takedown of his own, moving into half-guard. Rick explodes, rolls Fatty over & stands up, immediately pressing McGee into thecae & fighting for a takedown. Fatty tries to make space & run, but Story jumps back on him. The frustration is clear on the face of Fatty. Ref break 'em up again, but Rick clips him & presses him against the fence again, landing a takedown. McGee stands up again & is able to make space.

Rick takes rnd 2 as well.

YES! She's the only ref that I do not ever want to meet in a bar. Part of it is her hair. How have none of her friends or family told her to STOP with the bangs? Poor girl. I hope she doesn't read this forum.
