Dana on Gsp/Diaz fight

No [they will not fight at UFC 140]"In speaking with Heavy.com, UFC President Dana White claims that the rumored bout and subsequent TUF coaching gig between GSP and Nick Diaz is all “bulls#it.”

While many have speculated about the plans for the UFC welterweight strap, it would appear as if everyone is off the mark just a tad. Previous rumors put the two champions together for a UFC 140 main event as well as an Ultimate Fighter coaching gig but all those appear to be false.

What we know is that Diaz has opted to not continue with his boxing aspirations due to an offer from the UFC that he could not refuse, as to what that offer is? Who knows, right now we are back at square one it would appear.

Interesting news comes across the board as Nick Diaz has reportedly been stopped from competing in the 2011 BJJ Worlds tournament by the UFC due to an alleged contract privilege agreement according to Kid Peligro. Diaz’s younger brother Nate who is currently under a ZUFFA/UFC contract however is free to compete and will do so in the brown belt division this year according to top coach Caio Terra.

Though UFC president Dana White has adamantly attested that a super fight between Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz is nowhere closed to signed, it is likely the UFC is using their authority to protect the possible champions fight.

could be interesting or could be nothing .. i think dana is leaning towards the fight, its just he has to jump certain hurdles .. you'd think it'd be easy for them to do it since they own SF, but who knows ..
