I really liked the article.. with he exception of...
Quote:
After he walked through Paul Daley with an impressive technical knockout win in an explosive and exciting first round, Wow.. I don't remember that being a "walk through".. I remember Diaz actually being rocked once or twice...

I king of laughed at this
"And with all due respect to Nick Diaz's previous opponents, they simply do not match up to the caliber of fighter "Rush" has been dealing with for the past few years." I do think GSP might be on another level, but you're going to tell me that Diaz couldn't have finished Dan Hardy? Look at KOS / Daley, and Diaz Daley. I think Diaz has done more than enough to prove he can make it competitive. GSP couldn't handle Shields on the feet, my god could you imagine if he doesn't get Diaz down??? |

I like Diaz, but no it would not be competitive.

Nick has had worse opponents I mean that should be obvious. The only guy who shouldn't have fought GSP in the first place is Hardy. Ever since the Alves fight the standards for getting a welterweight title shot have become much much lower but thats because GSP is doing so well. People don't give Nick nearly as much credit as he deserves but I still think he will have trouble against a dominant wrestler type. I think Fitch would give him trouble let alone GSP (although I would NEVER actually root for fitch in that fight). Either way I want him to get a title shot. I'd like to see some legitimate stand up exchanges not someone trying to poke the other guy's eyes out.

Kinda had to LOL really hard at :
Quote:
Diaz has finished 9 of his last 10 opponents over the past three years... GSP has only had 7 fights in roughly the same time period and could only manage to finish off Matt Sera, and arguably BJ Penn. I think the question is, could GSP handle Nick Diaz... and I'd wager a resounding "NO".

If the fight is kept on the feet.. Nope.. Diaz would SMOKE GSP.. and I am a GSP fan. On the ground.. I would have to make it slightly in GSPs favor.. depending on who is on top.. GSP doesn't seem to do to well off his back..

Daley got caught and lost fair and square but Daley had the Pot smoker in trouble and almost finished him. I can't believe people are still comparing GSP's opponents to Diaz Georges has clearly fought the better guys. Now is Diaz deserving of a fight with GSP yes. Will the fight be good I think so
