The link is to an audio recording of The Innkeeper, a poem. It is just under 10 minutes.

No nightmares. Pat Brown has had an interesting life. She does not have a law enforcement background. She studied anthropology in college. She spent the majority of her young adulthood being a housewife, homeschooling her kids and doing some part-time sign language interpreting. She started studying profiling in middle age after she became convinced that a man renting a room in her house was a murdering psychopath. She started out by being self-taught. She read 400 books on profiling. She eventually received a degree in criminal justice, but most of her knowledge came from independent study. The book was a tad disappointing. She is logical and seems to be a good profiler but I don't think any of the cases mentioned in her book ever garnered a criminal conviction.
