Kansas City, KS - The Titan Fighting Championship (www.TitanFighting.com) announced Monday two of its four featured fights scheduled to air nationally on HDNet (www.HD.net) as a part of Titan Fighting Championship 18 on Friday, May 27.

Making his Titan debut will be former UFC lightweight champion Jens "'Lil Evil" Pulver, 24-14-1, who will be joined by his former Miletich Fighting Systems teammate and UFC veteran Drew "The Massacre" McFedries, 9-6.

"Our first two events on HDNet were met with both praise from critics and fans alike. Titan Fighting 18 will be a continuation of our formula for Titan Fighting 16 and 17 with a mix of nationally recognized names and rising prospects," said Titan Fighting CEO Joe Kelly. "Pulver and McFedries will not be the only national headliners on this show as we are completing negotiations for two other high profile fights. In short, Titan Fighting 18 will be our deepest show in history."

The event will emanate from the historic Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas. Tickets are now on-sale at all local Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com, and the Memorial Hall box office.

Pulver is experiencing a career resurgence on the heels of a two-fight win streak. He will look to increase his win streak to three when he takes on fellow featherweight Mike Powell, who is 10-2 and fights out of Waterloo, Iowa.

A pioneer of the lighter weight classes in mixed martial arts, Pulver has been competing since 1999 and holds wins over the likes of B.J. Penn, Caol Uno, Dennis Hallman, and Joe Stevenson.

"The Kansas City MMA scene has a deep appreciation of former UFC champions. Tim Sylvia was well received when he fought at Memorial Hall in January and Jens is revered by many fight fans in this area so we're excited to be bringing him into Titan having won his last two fights," Kelly said.]

Meanwhile, McFedries will attempt to record his eighth career TKO victory when he faces rising middleweight prospect Darryl Cobb, 6-2.
McFedries and Cobb share a common opponent in Gary Tapusoa. McFedries recorded a third round TKO stoppage victory over Tapusoa at Titan Fighting 16 in January while Cobb notched a split decision victory over Tapusoa at a Strikeforce Challengers event in November of 2009.
"Drew vs. Darryl is going to be a tremendous standup war," began Kelly. "McFedries has very polished boxing for a mixed martial artist while Darryl's Muay Thai skills are excellent. Both guys know how to bring it in the cage and Memorial Hall will come alive for this fight."

McFedries, originally trained by former UFC welterweight champion Pat Miletich, holds notable wins in his career over UFC veterans Claude Patrick, Jordan Radev, Alessio Sakara, Marvin Eastman, and Xavier Foupa-Pokam.

Also trained by a UFC veteran in former world champion kickboxer Jermaine Andre, Cobb is a undefeated two-time veteran of Strikeforce with wins over the aforementioned Tapusoa as well as Booker DeRousse, whom Cobb defeated via decision on the undercard of "Srikeforce: Overeem vs. Rogers" on May 15 of 2010.

Additional high-profile feature fights along with undercard bouts will be announced in the coming days. For more information on Titan Fighting 18, please visit www.TitanFighting.com; become a fan of Titan on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/TitanFighting; or follow Titan on Twitter @TitanFighting.
