Cecil Peoples, the Blind Referee

Before he was scoring UFC 75 in favor of Michael Bisping and proclaiming leg-kicks don't finish fights after UFC 104, Cecil Peoples was the go-to guy in Asian cinema whenever Jim Kelly was doing more important things like -- maintaining his Afro. Cecil is actually a well-respected martial-artist who received his black-belt in Karate under Master Ryusaki in North Hollywood. In fact, no one has really questioned Cecil People's 'martial-arts cred' but it seems that everyone has something to say about the his judging -- and refereeing abilities.

I met up with Miss Rara this past weekend at Strikeforce Challengers and noticed this video of Cecil Peoples on her American Cage Fighter app. It was so incredibly ridiculous that I insisted she get her team to cut the video up and place it on YouTube. Yesterday, they finally did -- and she decided to post it on the UG instead of sending me an email so I can publish it here. Damn, Rara. It's cool, I'll still tell everyone to get your American Cage Fighter iPhone app so they can see videos like this clip of Cecil People's refusing to accept a fighter tapping out at a recent Gladiator Challengers event in California.

Great title!!!

I think Matt got to the heart of the problem when he recently discussed MMA judging.

I think the tap was questionable but it's the fighters fault for quitting when he assumed the fight was over instead of making sure the ref had stopped it.

that's what we call the "sonnen tap".
