2 arrested after officer-involved shooting at Wal-Mart

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Two women are now charged with Attempted Murder following Thursday's officer-involved shooting at a Montgomery Wal-Mart.

Drive Quatisha R. Watkins, 19, and front-seat passenger, Shynenia M. Perry, 19, were both arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Detention Facility. Two other individuals inside the vehicle have been identified, according to police, but they are not in custody.

The incident happened around 3:15pm at the Ann Street Wal-Mart when a Montgomery Police observed shoplifting. The officer, unidentified, followed the four people into the parking lot and attempted to stop them from leaving in a green Lincoln Town Car.

According to the Montgomery Police Department, the vehicle drove into the officer, striking him and causing minor injuries.

The officer drew his weapon and fired at the driver, grazing her head. Both the officer and the injured suspect have been treated and released from the hospital.

The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is investigating as a matter of policy due to an officer's involvement.

Little confused: are you embarrassed by the women who tried to run over the cop, or the cop shooting at the women?

Those ladies need to hit up gsp for some grease then put that hair in cornrows!

I'm sure Taco Bell is relieved she stopped at Burger King first!

It is a shame. They are so young and they threw away their lives.
And they are probably just living what they are taught.

I had a student a few years back who would always eat stuff that was on my desk..........my bagels, my soda..........my sandwich........

if I left it on my desk, he would eat it and make no apologies for it. In fact he would tell me how "selfish" I was for having food and not giving it to everyone.

When I told his mother about his behavior, she told me that it was my fault for having food items on my desk. That I was being "selfish" for eating infront of the kids.

( does anyone else hear an echo?!)

BTW........and I did tell her this.......the things that he ate were items that were in my LUNCHBAG on my desk, or things that someone else put on my desk for me, things that I was going to eat during my lunchtime. I never eat when the kids aren't eating because I personally don't think it's good practice.
