The were really popular in the 1920's. George Formby was one of the most well know performers. The guy is SICK with the strumming.

One of my favorite songs is an old bluegrass gospel song called there's a man in here. There are several versions out there but the one I like has some crazy mandolin playing on it. Ill try to hunt it down I think you will like it.

I LOVE Bluegrass so this might be an idea of another cover for my group.

Me and my buddy Ben are performing our first gig as The Hatchetmen on 5/1 on City Island in NY. We do a few originals, and our own twists on a lot of covers.
Thursday I'm playing a 5 hour gig in NJ with my friends Celtic band at Mark Hughes' favorite restaurant.
