yeah, i think that is why the WWE had to at one point have RAW and SMACKDOWN ... to make it look like competition ..

Naw, they just did that because they wanted a second show during the week to give more to the fans and facilitate their expanding roster. Smackdown isn't even live, they tape it on Tuesdays.

This is like the WWE buying out WCW and ECW. They kept the name and logos around to a small degree for a while, but ultimately they dissolved those companies and their talent right into the WWE.
