Didn't see this one coming and I was just on MMAweekly. Right after I see this post I checked MMAWeekly and Sherdog and sure enough there is the headline. I wonder if he will ACTUALLY keep it as Strikeforce though. I mean they purchased Pride and WEC and look what happened with them.

It wont and cant be run independantly...we know that from WEC...thus it would be asset stripped and distroyed beyond recognition.

If this is true, there are going to be a lot of fighters looking for somewhere else to fight. It there any chance Strikeforce went under because their "top dog" Fedor lost another fight? Remember what happened when Kimbo got KTFO, seems like the same deal here.

Sooner or later the UFC will need to develop a minor league... I think this is probably going to be the first step towards that.
