Praises to the U.S. Border Patrol
I just passed through the Border Patrol checkpoint south of Falfurrias, TX (US Hwy 281). So far this year (remember, this only mid-March), they have seized more than (no typos):
- 100,000 pounds of drugs - 2000 illegal aliens One thing that's really cool about this is most of our BP agents (at least here in TX) are of Mexican descent so you never hear any BS racist remarks about the BP. I had to do a triple-take on this as it just seems unbelievable! And that's just 1 of probably a hundred BP checkpoints within our borders. Praise our BP agents for their hard work!

they got a tough job .. are they considered military ? i know that is probably a stupid question as they are called BP .. but just wondering ...

It's just a staggering number. If just 1 checkpoint has done 100,000 and 2,000 in just 3 months, that's 400,000 and 8,000 in 1 year. If there's 100 checkpoints, that is:
- 40,000,000 pounds of drugs - 800,000 illegal aliens (this is actually closer to 900,000 because they had 2,200 rather than 2,000 but it's easier to do the math this way). every year. It's hard to fathom this, and keep in mind, this is the inner-checkpoints that are several miles within our borders! I'm passing through there again in about a week or two. I'm going bring my camera and snatch a photo of the sign that posts it. Everybody needs to see how hard these guys are working. Just amazing!
