Seriously... other threads are more active because they contain subjects we can discuss, debate etc. What is there to talk about with regards to what happened in Japan?

I think for most of us it's something you feel pretty powerless about. We can donate money to the Red Cross or other legit agencies and we can pray. That really sums it up don't you think?

Honestly bro I don't think it's a reflection about how much anybody cares as much as it is a reflection of how little there really is to talk about.

For what it's worth though brother this is your only post in this thread while others have posted 3 or 4 times. By your own logic then does that mean they care 3 or 4x more than you do?

Responses...and views are different things...I post almost weekly meditations in the Christian Section...ive been doing so for over a year...in that time ive had about two threads with a single response

.....but over 66 views a week.

Its not about how long a thread is...its about how many Christians are praying

Some events we don't have words for.

That's okay. Plus we have every single news organization and television show to keep our minds on it. Sometimes the MHF is a good place to come and take our minds off a tragedy like that.

Now if someone started a thread saying that the Earthquake and resulting Tsunami was created by a weather machine as a way to stop the slaughtering of dolphins, then THAT would probably garner a bit more debate.

Because I'm sure your caring actually matters. Caring about something is meaningless compared to caring FOR something. And in a microcosm sort of way this site and the ironies I see here are fruits in themselves. Hey, I'm just as guilty as the rest, but lets face it, trivial matters trump the real issues of a spiritually sick culture every day of the week. Just look at Charlie Sheen.
