Anderson obviously has a good chin (reminds me of BJ in that) so I don't think Georges can hurt him. I think Georges will take him down and hopefully Anderson will sub him; otherwise he is just going to be laying on Anderson with little effect. GSP couldn't sub Hardy as much as he tried; he won't sub Anderson. Hopefully, they'll be on their feet long enough for Anderson to do his invisible "I KILL YOU" woo doo and the next thing we see is toasted canadian bacon.
Now we're talking!! Good analysis Bonnie as always!! You know your mma girlfriend!!

I'd like to know that too.

I think AtomD posted that GSP said he'd need a year to get to the right weight to fight Anderson. Makes no sense since you figure he walks around closer to MW than 170 WW.

I think he's just stalling and hoping Anderson retires or something else happens to nix the fight.

Hum I say GSP is smart not to go looking for this fight. What about Shogun or Rashad?

GSP was quoted in 2009 as saying that his walk around weight is about 188, which sounds about the right amount that most people cut. Rich Franklin and Silva area bout the same size physically and Rich came in at 203 at the weigh-in for the last fight. The size difference isn't very significant. No doubt Silva is bigger, but I guarantee GSP is physically stronger - the dude can do chinups with an extra 100 pounds, I doubt Silva strength trains like that.

His two fights before Sonnen lead to Dana getting on his butt because he ran around the cage like he was in a game of tag. I didn't see the Sonnen fight so I'm not sure what he did there. At the beginning of the fight with Vitor he started that crap and I figured if Vitor didn't engage him it would be the same. Plus he mocked Forrest. Grabbed his nuts if I recall correctly. Silva can fight, no question about that. But he is so one side in most of his fights it is boring. And when did he start all the dancing around? I mean it is not like your basical head movement. It is very Rashad like and equally as annoying. I don't recall him being like that until the past year or so.

I didn't see Silva mock Forrest. And he's been dodging punches in a dancing fashion for many years - he was doing that in Pride as well. It's just his style, almost as if he's taken some capoeira.

I think Silva will be able to handle/control him from his back if it goes there. Plus, we don't know how the added weight will affect other aspects of GSP's game like speed/movement which could give Anderson an edge and more opportunity to knock him out.

I didn't see that either; of course, I was too busy picking my jaw off the ground as I watched Forrest run out of the cage. I still can't get over that!

JB explained about Anderson's dancing, circling, but I agree with Bama, it still annoys me somewhat.
