Well the swelling finally went down and now her ankle is purple!
Bruised on both sides, above AND below the ankle bone! I've never seen anything like this! All she did was land on it funny and roll it! Unbelieveable!

We have an appointment with a doctor next week...............

When the swelling has gone down and bruising disappeared, buy her a wobble board. They're not expensive and they are very effective. The body has tiny sensory nerves called proprioceptors. These proprioceptors sense where parts of the body are. If you have ever started to twist your ankle and it has automatically righted itself then this will be the proprioceptors working efficiently. If a person sustains an injury to the lower leg then the proprioception of the leg can also be damaged. This will mean a possible chronic weakness developing and therefore an increased risk of re-injury, as seems to be the case here. Just a few minutes balancing on the board each day can help strengthen both ankles, restore damaged proprioception and prevent injury.

She is still recovering. Now I have to take her for an MRI because the doctor is afraid that she tore something. It's still swollen and black and blue.

I'm waiting for approval from my insurance company and then Ill make the appointment. I'll let everyone know what I find out.

She sounds very determined--I'm sure she'll be willing to put in the work to make her dream a reality!





Having said that, I'm STUNNED that nobody's going for the wide array of "gimme's" on Mike's weak wrists...

Thanks ladies! She is determined but getting really frustrated! I am as well! Listen to this bulls**t.................

We had the appointment for the MRI...........then the insurance company calls and tells me that they won't pay for the MRI until Jessica has seen an orthopedic surgeon. This is AFTER they told me to take her to her regular doctor so she could get the MRI. They changed their mind…….they want her to see a specialist first.

So we cancel the MRI appointment. I take her to the specialist………
and the first test he orders………………………

an MRI………………………..

I just wasted a week of her recovery on insurance red tape. What a bunch of bulls*#t! I'm fuming!!!!!!
