Hey ya'll,
I am sending a save the date out soon in the new year. I will be marrying in Texas next year in September. It will be going to a mixed bunch of non believers and believers. Now it is very important to us that the service is centered on jesus and how our marriage can glorify God. Its a great time for us to celebrate our union and I want a line taken from the Gospel that would be appropriate - related to marriage - the Lord etc - don't want to be too heavy but want to gently set an agenda that we are to be married in the eyes of God and it is important to us. I didn't know this needed to be done in haste and so have a tight deadline. I would appreciate any suggetstions. Or maybe just something cool. |

I'll go first -
Deuteronomy 31:8 It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. |

Surely you would want 1 Corinthians 13 (the whole chapter is wonderful).
Congratulations, also. |

There are tons can you give more details have you spoke to the minister conducting the service, What does the bride want? These are all important questions. I have used many in my time as a pastor so I might have some ideas with a little more to go on.

1 John 4:18, "There is no fear in love; for perfect love casts out fear
not to be confused with John 4:18: For you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband my favorites: Proverbs 21:19 (New Living Translation) It is better to live alone in the desert than with a crabby, complaining wife. Proverbs 27:15-16 (New Living Translation) A quarrelsome wife is as annoying as constant dripping on a rainy day. Stopping her complaints is like trying to stop the wind or trying to hold something with greased hands. but seriously- http://www.godsknot.com/Verses.aspx |

First off, congratulations Jon! That's really wonderful! How about Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks. And God's peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 |
