My feelings exactly. Although I will miss him in competition, I'm glad he will still be part of the UFC; he has so much to offer.

I'm sad that I won't be seeing him fighting in the octagon any more but I sure didn't want to see him KOed again.

Yeah, I was surprised by that too. It's a classic body language gesture of "I don't know", uncertainty or giving up. Even helplessness. None of them good signs for the new Vice Prez of the UFC.

I know I'm basically "forever the cynic" around here...

but I really do think it's better this way...at least for Chuck.

Yeah, it sucks in many aspects, especially for us who loved watching him fight...

BUT...

the positive is that the UFC is taking care of Chuck with a steady pay-check and solid position with the company. He deserves it!

No offense to any other fighters, but the truth is Chuck will still make more money per year than most of them, and he will never have to get punched in the face again.

Chuck always shrugs a lot when he talks. Not sure if it means he's unhappy with it or not.
