Well.. First round I saw for Jackson.. Second. I can understand why it went to Jackson on a judges card...

The issue is that Lyoto's style is typical karate, evade and counter.. it's how I train and in most of the dojos I visit. No karate fighter will want to "stand and bang"... and doing that with someone like Jackson.. is NOT a good idea .. no matter who you are.

Chuck is a GREAT example of Karate implemented in MMA... he goes forward.. makes them start to commit.. circles and strikes.. but of course Chuck's background is hawaiian kempo.. which is direct from Okinawa.. Lyoto is still a purest in the MMA world.. for him to be REALLY successful with decisions.. he needs to be more aggressive.

If he wants to leave it in the judges hands.. he needs to be more aggressive.

It was very apparent seeing this fight live that jackson was stalking Machida the whole fight. When Lyoto gets hit and moves away it gives the impression that he is getting hurt or at least is in danger. I personally love watching Lyoto fight. this was the second time I got to watch him fight live and it's really impressive. not many guys can stay away from THAT Quinton jackson we saw Saturday.
I believe Rampage won the fight based on perception of control and aggression for first two rounds.

I can see where the opinion is based Lyoto lost. I just feel in my little cold heart he won!! lol..He is so awesome that man has this force about him, but he should have attacked in the 2nd round!! As intimidating as Rampage tries to be I know he was shaking in his space boots.. j/k
