I think most of us are rooting for our favorite fighters more than predicting.

I try to not "just pull for my fave".. I picked Brock to win the last UFC.. cause while I am not his biggest fan, it seemed to me like he would be able to take Cain down and start feeding him "ham hands".. I just didn't see him not being able to take a punch to the face...

I will always say Randy will win.. no matter the odds... He is 60years old and wants to fight.. a 25 year old Jon Jones.. who is 30-0....??? Randy has it..no doubt

The same goes for Chuck and Matt...Clay and a few others.. They want to fight a great with shark.. with no gear and the plastic sword that the cherries are stuck on in cheap drinks??? That shark is toast!!!

Hey man, don't get me wrong, I totally agree with everything you are saying....

What I meant is that basically when it comes to predictions in ANY sport a person puts their neck out there, and in MMA it's "any given Sunday" times 10...

It don't mean we shouldn't make predictions, or that somebody is a fool when they are wrong, but they DEFINITELY look like fool for that moment in time if they went out on a limb. I don't think you would disagree there.

Actually some scientists de-bunked the whole 2012 thing, so I'm guessing we are good...

http://steverattlesnake.cliquezone.c...g-jackson-camp

Dana White’s thoughts on Nate Marquardt, after a disspointing loss to Yushin Okami at UFC 122:

“He is a choker, he choked tonight.

Marquardt is such a talented guy, and what I’m seeing is stuff from the Greg Jackson camp, this camp continuously, when these guys fight, their corner is either telling them they’re ahead or they’re winning.

I mean, Nate Marquardt sat here tonight and said that he thought he won the fight. Where the [expletive] is his corner? You go into the last round and you’re getting outstruck by a wrestler, and you think you won the fight? And this is consistent with the Greg Jackson camp.”

I actually dozed off briefly during the fight. Maybe it was the scotch, the fight or some combination thereof.

Anyway I did wake up to see Okami getting his had raised.

I will view it again this afternoon and reserve comment until then.
