Default Brock Lesnar

OK.. Now that the heat has died down...

Everyone know I am not his biggest fan.. But you have to be impressed with his past fights. Now it appears that he just don't like getting hit in the face all that much...

Since he lost in such devestating fashion... do we...

A) Chalk it up as a "fluke" win.. that Brock didn't really take the fight seriouslytrain well/just got caught and couldn't recover (a'la GSP Serra?)

B) Consider Brock "Exposed". .thereby diminishing his past opponets.. (Kim/Mir/Randy/Herring/Carwin)

C) Understand that he was fighting the best he could and EVERYONE loses sooner or later?

I vote "C"

Who does Brock have to fight to be considered for another title shot?

Mir? Sure why not.. I would like to see that..
Nelson? LOLOLOL.. man that would be a mess....
Cain rematch? No.. not with that preformance.
Minotauro? Hmmm.....
Ben Rothwell?? Nah.. I would like to see Ben fight Roy when Roy loses..

He had such a short road to the top that it was unavoidable that he would meet someone who was just better prepared to fight him. Its hard to say if it was just Cains awesomeness or someone exposing Brocks raw talent.

Hopefully he puts a handful of fights into his back pocket before he goes back after the champ. I think he just needs to face a wide variety of situations to improve his skillz.

I've always thought, about Lesnar, that if he does enough in training to get by and always thinks he can "bully" himself to a win, then he wouldn't last long as champion.

He couldn't bully Velasquez, and I don't think he'll ever be able to no matter how he prepares. Velasquez sticks to a fight plan pretty good, similar to GSP. I think that Velasquez gets back up every time...and it's very hard to train to take a punch.

Lesnar really needs to work on his striking. He looks so uncomfortable when throwing his hands, as if it's unnatural for him.

I wish him the best, I think that he should put himself in with Randy Couture, not have Couture come to him.....but him go to Couture.

Just my two lincolns.

Later.

i think it's a combo of B and C ...... i wouldn't say "exposed" as he is a fraud, but that he doesn't like getting hit and now everyone knows that ... you could have said that after the carwin fight, but i am sure no one likes getting hit by carwin ... but getting hit by a steel chair when you know it's coming is not the same thing as taking a punch in the face ... sometimes people are not able to take punches no matter how they train and others get acustomed to it ... i think brock beats a lot of guys at HW, but i think he loses to guys like cain, jds and even roy and carwin .. i think he beats mur again as he has proved he doesn't have the best tdd ... i think dana gives him mur again just to get his confidence back up, then maybe a shot at carwin or roy ... if he wins that, he gets either cain or jds, whoever is champ ...

Carwin exposed his weakness. Cain learned from it and did it better.

Just to clairify,

I don't think that Brock beats Mir on a 3rd fight. Frank HAD to have learned to stay out from under that monster.

I vote for D

its just proof that if you fast track someone with little experience, they will fail, sooner rather then later.

Exposed is mean...obviously he has holes in his game...his game is bound to be way behind everyone elses, he hasnt been training for years, he hasnt worked up through smaller promotions...to say he looses vs an obvious contender isnt shocking at all.

Fighting the best is a missnomer in the UFC...Frank Mir sure as hell isnt the best...and Randy Couture was out of action for nearly a year before he fought Lesnar...and he was really quite old...Best seems to be relative for the UFC anyway

Velasquez win wasnt a fluke...neither was Serra over GSP...a fluke win is a lucky win...Serra Vs GSP, was serra taking advantage of GSPs poor mental state, and GSPs mistake of letting himself crack up. Velasquez dominated and finished, and would so obviously repeat the performance if they met again tommorow...thats not the definition of a fluke.
