Matt's criticism of Rogan seems to have caused a bit of a stir on the internet. Several websites are linking to Matt's blog this time around. Now I just wonder if any Joe Rogan fans are going to come over here trying to start some crap.

It's not like Matt said Joe should be replaced, he just mentioned having a third person with in-the-cage-experience. Like when Randy did it. I'll be interested to hear how Joe calls the next fight that Matt's in. Most of the underground crack on Joe and Goldie, anyways.

Yeah, people are starting petitions for Chael to be the third man, it's ridiculous.
Most of the comments I have read have actually agreed with Matt about Rogan |

children of illegals are not citizens btw: i get what you're saying, cain isn't a mexican, he is the poster boy for mexican americans, but not mexicans, he didn't seem anything like the people they were interviewing on unleased, but to be fair, lesnar didn't really seem like the guy they portrayed him as..... a farm boy from SD????? i like brock but he's no hughes, or tommy speer, or even roy nelson |

rogan is a color commentator, he is just a little wild with his "color"
he's no bas rutten, or even frank shamrock, or kenny, or prolly even matt, matt's point was right, you can practice in a gym and book learn it all, but you need someone that has experienced it in the cage of course being a fighter doesn't give you all the edge either..... i hear don frye is rather unique |

IMO the problem with Rogan is that he's as much a UFC hype man as he is a commentator. Joe knew his job was hype Jake into a title shot & that's what he did.
That being said, I think the perfect retiree to hire would be Jens. Hands down. (yes, Dave, I know he's not retired yet, but he needs to & this would be a perfect transition for him)

I haven't watched the Shields fight yet so can't comment on the quality of the commentary on that but overall I like Rogan's commentary, there's nothing wrong with it. It was also damn funny when he pulled himself up from dropping the 'F' bomb right at the start of the weigh-ins, haha.
