Default UFC 119 Medical Suspensions

Mirko & sarah both big losers, out indefinitely until cleared by a CT scan:

Quote:

Following the first ever UFC event in the state, the Indiana Gaming Commission has released the medical suspensions for the show. They include an indefinite suspension for main event fighter Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic following his knockout loss to former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir.

After a fairly slow moving fight for the first two rounds, Cro Cop got into an exchange with Mir in the final round and ate a devastating knee strike that floored the former Pride Grand Prix champion, leaving him unconscious on the mat.

Former UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra went through a tough three-round fight with Chris Lytle and also received an indefinite suspension.

Cro Cop and Serra’s suspensions run a minimum of 180 days. Each must have a head CT scan cleared by a physician before they can return to fighting, even once the 180 days is up.

The medical suspensions are listed below:

Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic: suspended indefinitely and must clear CT head scan. He is suspended a minimum of 180 days following the fight.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira: 30 day suspension, 30 days no contact

Matt Serra: suspended indefinitely and must clear CT head scan. He is suspended a minimum of 180 days following the fight.

Evan Dunham: 45 day suspension, 45 day no contact

Sean Sherk: 30 day suspension, 21 days no contact

Joey Beltran: 30 day suspension, 30 days no contact

Matt Mitrione: 30 day suspension, 12 days no contact.

Steve Lopez: 30 day suspension for laceration on his forehead, 30 days no contact

Sean McCorkle: 30 day suspension, 21 days no contact

Mark Hunt: indefinite suspension, needs to clear X-ray on left elbow, 30 days no contact

Ouch 180 days and then maybe if the CT turns out okay..I can see how CC gets that after being KO,but im little miffed about Serra getting that long?
What he turn into a nice guy after the fight and the doctors thought that strange of Serra and figured he got rocked hard and needed time off
In all seriousness though Serra put on a good fight, but not a smart fight imo. It was 'nice' of him to standup with Lytle to give him the fight he wanted, but in the end u do what u need to win.
