Efrain Escudero was cut by the UFC today. No official word as of yet but this was posted by his twitter.

"Hello true fan I was released by the Ufc today speaking to strikeforce and bellator. Taking a week off and make my way back!!!!!"

Unless I'm mistaken, I think that makes "Effy" only the 2nd TUf winner to ever be released by the UFC.

Yeah but really 95% of the winners and runner ups have all pretty much have had average or worse runs in the UFC. Those who were all above average are all from the first 2 seasons. Forrest, Rashad, Joe Stevenson, Diego, runner ups Kenflo. All held titles or fought for titles.

Maybe Efrain should have at least made weight before losing...

So what's the point in even watching that program anymore?

Character development for the coaches and ultimately hype for their fight.

I may be missing one or two...

Serra and Forrest held the title for like, 1 fight.
I predict Ross Pearson and/or Danzig will be next on the chopping block. Kendall came very close, and Lutter was the first to get the axe from the UFC. Personally I think Effy deserved another chance, but with the talent pool being so thick they really don't need him in there.

well I really didnt count the come back winners, but people like Ross, Danzig and Kendall are pretty much on the verge of being cut, though im surprised they went longer then Efrain with boring fights and a laundry list of losses. Bisping is an average fighter who cant beat anyone with a name.

Roy,Bader, Diaz and Sadalloh are the only ones worth watching as of right now, who knows in a half year though.

What about Koz.. Kenny.. Not that I am huge fans of them.. but they are still there..
