I like the sound the older rotary phones made when you dialed. Our friend, Nellie, had a party line at the time we moved next door to her. It did suck if you wanted to make a call, but you could listen in.

LOL , good video . My brother still has a Rotary phone on his kitchen wall . We always had rotarys when i was a kid . I loved dialing them to here em click . Ill still dial my brothers now and then if i walk past it lol.. It worked great until guys started using the dirt road south of him to go mudding on when it rained , they uprooted the telephone line and ripped it in half , phone company never fixed it.

My girlfriend lived in a different city.. all of 45 miles away... So it was a long distance call... man I HATED it when I dialed wrong...

Our party line had the lady down the road on it all the time. I think she was an Ozark mountain hooker. Some of ya'll will get that. Trust me, southeastern Missouri can be a scary place.....think Deliverance.

My dad still has an airplane rotary shaped phone in the basement of their house, but think it's unplugged.

Back in the day, my parents only had 2 phones, now they have 5 plus 2 mobiles...7 phones.

I only have one and I don't even want it.....
