A writer for the LA Times tweeted yesterday that Dana wanted to sign the rematch for either a NYE or a Super Bowl card:

Not surprising.

Arguments can be made both for and against it right now. Historically, rematches don't deliver the same excitement as the first fight, but if Sonnen is actually able to win then this will likely end up becoming a trilogy.

considering chael fought a perfect fight for 4 rounds and still lost my expectations arnt that high for him in the rematch

LOL I think the only ones that are butt hurt are the Silva fans who are scared that Chale might beat there champ

I was surprised with Chael last time and I was rooting for him but didn't think he had a chance against Anderson. This time i will also be rooting for him but i still have doubts in him beating Silva.
