Default Kendall Grove - Staph

This is the worst staph I've ever seen. Seriously, if you don't like gross stuff, DO NOT watch this video.

However, if you've got a ton of morbid curiosity (like me ) follow the link - http://www.mmamania.com/2010/8/9/161...taph-infection

It was just gauze, actually. Still pretty gross, but there's far worse in the top ten staph infections link posted here a while back.

That is an Iodoform gauze packing strip packed inside an abscess cavity following an incision and drainage.

You haven't seen much then. How about an epidural abscess extending the length of the spine? You need to watch more "House".

Yep. The wound looks pretty good actually; it's on the mend. What I would have liked to see is the actual incision where the infectious stuff all starts pouring out. Sometimes when the incision is made, the wound explodes a little and shoots stuff like a volcano. We did it once at the pedi ER I worked in and it shot all over the curtains and ceiling tiles.

Yeah we have explosive ones and then the ones the just keep coming. We have to get out the suction sometimes to keep it from running off the bed into the floor.

Have we all had it with this 'I got a staph infection?' That's like the new thing. I would be embarrassed if I didn't have a staph infection. You know what a staph infection is? It means you've been working out on a mat. For goodness sake you should always want to have a staph infection. But I tell you what, when Aug. 7 rolls around, I may have one of these mysterious staph infections,I will have something on me will hurt, I will not feel good, but when my music hits those speakers, I'll make that walk and I'll answer for everything I've ever said.
