'UFC Dad of the Year' leaves kid in car on fight night

Not all UFC fans are morons, just the ones who decide that fight night is more important than taking care of his six-year-old son. Donald Rombaugh left his boy locked in the car in the parking lot at something called Stevie Tomatoes in Ft. Myers, Fla. Why would he do that? Don't be silly, UFC 117 was on!

Aside from the ridiculous act of locking a six-year-old in a car by himself, it was 83 degrees at 10 p.m. in Fort Myers, Fla., when Rombaugh went into the bar to watch UFC 117. The little guy didn't make it very long before he was sweating, screaming, honking the horn and setting off the alarm. That's when two women spotted him and called the police.

Thank God the kid had the sense to get himself out of that situation!

Kelli and I went to the beach on one of the hottest days this summer (100+). Some of our friends there asked where Hailey was. I just said "She's in the truck.".

Got some of the best facial expressions ever. Then replied "I left the windows down. I'm not stupid."

We had 2 cases where parents went to work and forgot they hadn't drop the kids off at daycare and left them in the car 1 all day, and the other until around noon when someone heard the kid crying. And both of these were infants!

I have no idea who that could happen. My kids won't be quite long enough for me to forget they are in the car for 5 seconds!
