Lack of coverage for Matt/Ricardo

Did I miss something? didn't see much on the count down for Matt / Ricardo,
I am super pumped for this fight. I was hoping to see some more on Matt's training, etc... for this fight.

Yeah, not reallly happy about that. And Matt's fight is like low mid-card. should be Co-Main.. or 3rd fight.. IMO

I agree. I think because neither Ricardo or Matt would push this as a greudge match or a Hughes vs Gracies match they pushed it back.
OR maybe Matt asked to get done early so he can go hang with his friends

Honestly, I was more disappointed with the Sherdog main card breakdown of it. I couldn't believe the writer watched the same Serra fight and Renzo fight that I did if he thought that Matt aged markedly between them. Honestly, I thought he demolished Renzo in an even more devastating fashion than he did Serra (prob would have done the same to Serra if not for the unintentional headbutt that rocked him in Rd 1). I wonder what the prerequisites are to get to write for that site? Not much, apparently.

I was so pissed at that article too. mainly because it was completely lacking in fact. when in the Renzo fight did Matt try to take him down? The writer of that article is a hack. Sherdog has always treated Matt unfairly and I hope when they approach him for interviews he laughs at them.

Agreed! If I remember correctly, at the end of the fight Matt said he really wasn't trying to take Renzo down, but wanted to keep it standing. He pushed Renzo against the cage a couple of times, but that's about it. I bet Matt laughs at those stupid reporters all the times. He seems like a "put up or shut up" kind of guy to me, and all those guys aren't even at the level of armchair quarterbacks....

Mike Straka is the worste of the bunch. He sat with Serra and Longo and talked about how Serra won that fight with Hughes and then did that 3 part interview with Hughes and talked about him beating up Serra.

I agree though, we needed more coverage of Matt!!!!!
