Of course I was just being a wise guy...
But seriously, I don't hate Chael Sonnen at all. I understand him, and I get it. The only thing I take issue with is his blatant attempts to ride the coat-tails of legends in the UFC to make his name relevant. He can talk all the smack he wants about Silva, because he is fighting him next, but he has no business talking smack on Hughes, Franklin, or the Nogs. However, in all of this, I feel more critical of some of the fans treatment of Anderson Silva than anything Chael has actually said. Also, the fact that fans would gravitate to cheering for Sonnen as means of voicing their displeasure with Anderson Silva over what they feel was "disrespectful" is pretty ironic. All you have to do to expose Chael Sonnen is just try to find one of his "highlight" reels of significant accomplishments in MMA. Good luck.
