Can't say it better than that!

Btw, I posted I thought Chuck looked like "Stone Cold" in the "what famous....you look like" thread. When you said Goldy said that, I thought, wait, did I say "Stone Cold" or "Cold Stone".

BROCK LESNAR VS. SHANE CARWIN

Round 1 - Referee Josh Rosenthal in the cage for the main event, and the MGM Grand Garden Arena is electric. Lesnar moves to the center. He's not fighting southpaw. Right hand from Carwin, but Lesnar rushes for the takedown. He gets it as they slam into the cage, but Carwin scrambles immediately back up Carwin lands and uppercut, and Lesnar is wobbled. He retreats to the cage. Carwin all over hi,. Knees, punches and Lesnar hits the deck. Carwin keeps punching, but Rsenthal lets him defensd. He kicks Carwin away briefly, but he's right back on top throwing short punches. Two minutes in. Carwin stands over Lesnar who looks unable to get off his back. Lesnar turns into Carwin's legs, and the punches stop. Has he punches himself out? Halfway in. Carwin posturing up in half-mount. Lesnar throws soft shots upward, but Carwin continues to throw shots from the top. Most are blocked, but a few land flush. Carwin backs away, and Lesnar's face is battered. Carwin pushes back into half-mount. Lesnar pushes up and back to his feet, where he pushes in on Carwin. Stall against the cage. Less than a minute. Both fighters taking a breather as they jockey for position. Rosenthal lets them work in the clinch, and they'll stay there until the bell. All Carwin early, 10-9 on the MMAjunkie.com card.

Round 2 - High five to start. Lesnar tries to rush in but catches a straight. Lesnar ducks in and gets the takedown. Lesnar in half-mount, though he's not posturing up. Lesnar steps over with his right leg into mount, then slides over with a side choke locked in. Carwin looks uncomfortable and Lesnar tweaks the move. He twists out to the side, and Carwin is in trouble. More leverage, and Carwin has no choice but to tap.

Crap!

Well, I'm glad Shane got his licks in at least. I really felt like Brock wasn't defending during that barrage and the ref could have called it there before Shane slowed down in the first.

What do y'all think?

Credit to Brock for surviving and getting the win. And for also acting decent after the fight even though I noticed he side-stepped Joe's ?s about the 1st round.

I'm not a hater, JB, but I don't care for him.

I give him credit for his win and for not being a Bevis and Butthead afterwards, but I give Shane a lot of credit too. I really thought Shane was gonna finish him there in the first.

How many punches was that in the first round....did anybody count? What's that site that does all the stats on punches and stuff?

I'd like to see a few more 265 er's who expend that kind of energy in the first round fight to be able to compare...to see what their cardio is like in the following round(s) including Brock.

I am pretty disappointed with the outcome. I was really cheering for Shane because not only is he a great fighter, he's a respectful and good natured guy. But, I have a new found respect for Brock, he really showed the spirit of a champion in that fight.

Cain has no chance, he'll just get taken down with ease and pounded on..
