BLOG: Robbie Fights Tonight

I've been waiting for pictures from Ft. Bragg and from my deer hunt, but nothing has come yet. So I guess I'll just keep waiting on them and post them after I get them.

The UFC had a good card last weekend and the only one that was hard to watch was Chuck and Rich. As you guys know, they are two of my closest friends in this sport and for me there was no winner. I think Chuck looked great and if he's going to look and perform like that, then I think he should decide when he's going to retire, not the UFC. The bottom line is, they both did a great job. Rich threw a punch that I believe was just to create some space and ended up catching him. So, good job to both of them and I hope that's not the fight Chuck Liddell goes out on. I would just like to see him get a win before his exit from the sport.



I'm out in LA right now, with Robbie as he fights for Strikeforce tonight. Matt Pena and Demarques Johnson are out here also, so training is going well. He's fighting Babalu, who brings a lot of experience to the table; but I really believe if Robbie goes out using his head and his athletic ability, then Babalu will have a bad night. The only place I don't want Robbie to be is underneath him for 15 minutes. As you all know, Robbie has the power in his hands to hit people once and make them fall like a tree. He's also better on the ground than people think, and has great takedown defense. So I feel good about the match-up.

Let's say he doesn't retire, what are his choices if the UFC isn't an option for him anymore? Seems he might be between a rock and a hard place.

they're bound to let chuck fight tito.....

the hard part is going out on a win.... unless you are vacating the title, who wants to stop when they are one step closer to the championship??

Robbie will do just fine, He knows what it takes and he will take it to him, Matt Hughes and Matt Pena in his corner, what a team, so I will watch the outcome when they raise Robbie's hand....
