I honestly think Sonnen / AS will go much like Sonnen / Nate.
Sonnen is open about his gameplan and I don't think he will go wrong.
AS has a way of getting people to want to stand and bang with him,
its silly, Henderson would have won by TKO or UD had he stuck to taking AS down.
Hell, Lutter got him down and mounted him.

AS / Sonnen on the feet = embarrassing for Sonnen.
But if Sonnen sticks to his guns and AS doesn't show up in 110 perfect form,
new champion.

Sonnen sure talks a lot of smack. I hope he can back it up in the octagon.

I will never bet on Anderson Silva because then, I'd have to root for him to win. I'm so looking forward to the day he gets beat.

yeah they almost won... until they lost.
we'll see what happens. Anderson always brings it when someone is supposed to be a big challenge so I hope he wins. Sonnen is a knucklehead.

on a side note did anyone hear the story about Sonnen and Silva squaring off at the Expo?
it's pretty funny

I actually think Anderson will submit Sonnen. I think Andersons biggest challenge right now is Belcher. I think after Belcher knocks out D.M then he will get his title shot.

and how did they lose? striking?

AS never brings it, lol.
Cote? Lietes? Maia?
Not since Dan Henderson has he "brought" it,
Dan was coming off a loss and tried to stand and bang.

I made a thread with video about the sonnon/as expo deal.

he's got a lot of fights. you named 3 against guys that didn't engage.
Dan got tired in the second and dropped his hands.

He does have a lot of fights,
but what is relivent at this point?

Fights at MW in recent history.
3 out of his last 4 he hasn't brought anything.

you said never...so I was considering all of his fights relivent.
anyways
Let's just see what happens. I look at a fighters whole career when considering what they're capable of.
takes two to tango IMO

what was wrong with the Cote fight? Cote's knee gave out but I thought AS was fighting a smart fight.
In the other cases everyone said the only chance the opponents had was on the ground so why the hell would Silva jump into their world?
I'll give ya the Maia fight because Silva just went nuts after a perfect fight in the first 2 rounds.
