I will be disappointed sure; just like I was when Mir lost. That won't take away from the win for Brock in my eyes though. If he wins, he wins...

Nothing against Shane Carwin, not at all. If he wins, it will be through hard work and dedication. Shane is not a guy who gives you a lot of reasons to dislike him.

With that being said, it's better for the sport if Brock wins, and Brock is just as deserving and as tough as any of these guys in the UFC Heavyweight Division at this point. He may have gotten the fast-track in some respects, but his talent level has shown that it wasn't a bust for the UFC.
I don't necessarily write him off, it's just I root for some guys over others. I root for Matt over ANY other fighter period, regardless if I like the other fighter or not. Same thing here. I like Mir, Carwin, Cain, Roy, and a few other HW's. I have my favs in each division, and those are the ones I root for. Hell, if Brock does something to impress me he might gain some more fan love from me, and I might actually start pulling for him over certain other fighters.

carwin is gonna KO brock in the first round ... we know that brock doesn't like taking a shot ... he is gonna feel the power early when carwin pushes him against the cage ... if brock got rattled by some LHW dirty boxing from couture, he is gonna wake up and not realize what happened after shane puts a blue-collar beating on him ...
not saying brock doesn't have a chance, he needs to take it to shane immediately and get him on the ground, but i think he will be out bfore fe realizes what happened ..

I don't think anybody likes taking a shot, but I think Brock can certainly take one!

That is not a good comparison to a shot on the chin or above the ear.

Maybe it's not the same, but come on.... that's still a steel chair straight to the face REALLY hard, twice, and I don't care if WWE is "fake" because there is no faking that.

It may not be the same as getting hit behind the ear, but I think it definitely disproves the idea that Brock is in some way "afraid" of getting hit.

i don't think he is afraid of taking a shot, but knowing a shot is coming and taking a punch for the first time from someone is definitley different ... he even said that he was rattled when randy gave him a few shots ... wait til carwin hits him ... it's gonna be some white on white crime ....

He can definately take a shot. This isn't right on the chin but he basically goes head first into the mat.
