Yeah, I like those small books that can be read entirely in 1-2 hours. I read each of them once a year. It's a great way to stay sharp as well as learn new ideas.

PTM, how did you like Lights Out? I just love Mark Steyn.
Spirit - I see you are also a fan of the Mother Tongue! Isn't it just a wonderful book? I recommended it on the "Speaking English" thread when it was getting a little contentious. |

Would you recommend No One Here Gets Out Alive? I was never much of a Doors/Jim Morrison fan but like good biographies from that era.

Quote:
Break on Through: The Life and Death of Jim Morrison by James Riordan and Jerry Prochnicky is GREAT though.. a little dry in some areas.. My Favorite is Riders on the Storm: My Life with Jim Morrison and the Doors by John Densmore - it "feels" honest. The Mother Tounge.. GREAT book!!!!!!!

My Bible, Made in America, How to make your kids mind without losing yours, Yada Yada Prayer Group series, art book from school, 1001 Bug jokes (it's my son's), passion of the Christ, Purpose Driven Life, fat counter. I think that's all that I actually have out right now.
