Excellent. We will always need more nurses. What are you hoping to specialize in? I used to do Pedi ER but now I'm high risk OB.

I worked in the Emergency Department as a PCT and I now work in High Risk Cardiology as a PCT. The floor has it's pros and cons but so does the ER, so I don't know.

Yes will be at all three, the ones in Sept. and Dec. will be working them, and should have one or two of my son's fighting.

You can easily transition between those 2 specialties at least. I'm kind of stuck with OB type nursing (antepartum, L&D, or post partum) now since I've been doing it for so long. I could always go back and do med surg but I'd rather slit my wrists first.

I'm actually getting moved into management before long it looks like though. I need to get back to school and get my masters. My employer will pay tuition reimbursement after another year of service. I'm looking at getting a masters in health care administration.

Sounds like something I would enjoy, if I can convince one of my friends to go with me I'll be there, but I don't want to go alone.

TexasRN, I still have a few years left in nursing school so I have some time to think about it yet. I do think I would like the OR as well.

EDIT: Or maybe the cath lab.
